Festival Artists

Originally a flutist, Benjamin Alunni studied singing at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, France and at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway.

Benjamin started his career singing baroque music in 2007 with Christophe Rousset at Ambronay, France, and kept working with him as part of the Talens Lyriques in baryton roles (in Charpentier’s Acteon and Les Arts Florissants). He then toured Europe with Skip Sempé and the Capriccio Stravagante ensemble.

In 2011-2012 Benjamin joined William Christie for a revival of Lully’s Atys – in which he played Phantase – and for a production of Charpentier’s David and Jonathas in Aix-en-Provence, Paris, Caen, Edinburgh and New York.
