Anne Champert. piano

Anne Champert has been professor for vocal repertoire and collaborative piano at the University of Music in Hannover, Germany since 2014.

Between 2004 and 2014, she was head of music staff at the Deutsche Oper Berlin where she worked with some of the more inspiring conductors and singers of our time. Between 1999 and 2004 she hold the same position at the state opera of Saarbrücken.

She started her career as a collaborative pianist for scottish opera and later as assistant chorus master at the Opera National de Paris.

She is a guest vocal coach at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Bregenz Festival, the opera houses of Aachen, Wuppertal among others. She is a regular guest at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv where she has been coaching  french operas since 2005.

She has taught at the city conservatory of Paris, the royal academy of music in Glasgow, the University of Music Saar and The Opera Studio of the Israeli Opera.

She serves as an adjudicator in many competitions and is a board member of the German National Singing Competition. (Bundeswettbewerb Gesang)

She is also an active arranger and composer. She wrote a ballet music for the choreographer Marco Santi performed at the festival of St Gallen (Switzerland) . For the Deutsche Oper Berlin, she arranged the music to the show  “Mahlermania” with the company “Nico and the Navigators”, which toured in Korea and in Rouen, France at the festival  “Automne in Normandie”. Mahlermania has been recorded and released by Euroarts Video.

In the season 2013-2014, she had a big personal success with the piece “Hoffmann”, a commission of Deutsche Oper Berlin to adapt Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann” for a small ensemble with personal compositions.

After completing her studies in Literature and musicology at the Sorbonne University (Paris), she studied composition, electronic music and collaborative piano at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris and perfected her training with a postgraduate course in vocal accompaniment at the Guildhall school of drama and music in London.

She is a member of the world forum for acoustic ecology.
